Dear America’s Mattress Customers,
During times like these, quality sleep is more important than ever. America’s Mattress has always maintained stringent health and safety standards in our stores and on our delivery trucks. Staying true to our commitment to help care for you, our friends and neighbors, we’ve implemented thoughtful procedures to ensure the health and safety of our customers and employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the most pertinent measures are listed below:
Retail Stores
  • We’ve removed pillows from our showroom floors and are providing each customer with a clean, disposable pillow protector to use when selecting a mattress.
  • All surfaces are being thoroughly disinfected multiple times a day, including door handles, desks, restrooms, and showroom furniture.
  • Hand sanitizer and access to clean, well-stocked restrooms are available for all of our customers and employees.
  • Handshakes have been suspended and appropriate social distancing is taking place between employees and customers.
Delivery Services
  • We’ve implemented an additional “No-Touch Delivery” option that a customer can request at the time of sale. “No-Touch Delivery” means we will leave your securely-sealed mattress outside your home in a designated area for you to bring into your home.
  • Delivery team members are putting on fresh shoe covers and disposable gloves for each home delivery.
  • Tablets, cell phones, and trucks are being wiped down in between each home delivery with disinfecting wipes.
  • All mattresses are shipped directly from the manufacturer in Colorado in sealed bags and are transported to the customer’s home in the sealed bag.
  • Mattresses that are removed from customers’ homes are securely sealed in plastic before being placed on our delivery trucks and are kept separate from new mattresses.
  • As always, you are welcome to pick up your mattress from our local warehouse and transport it to your home. We are happy to help securely load your mattress into your vehicle for you.
Our commitment to you is stronger than ever. We are open for business and would like to remind you that you can also shop with us via telephone, online, or through our website chat feature. Tips For Getting a Better Night’s Sleep

According to the National Sleep Foundation, forty-five percent of Americans say that poor or insufficient sleep affected their daily activities at least once in the past seven days. That means almost half of us aren’t getting the sleep we need! A lack of sleep not only makes it difficult to get through the day, but a lack of sleep has also been linked to poor health, low productivity, and mood disorders, among other things. If you struggle with getting enough quality, restorative sleep, keep reading. In today’s post from America’s Mattress, we’re going to give you some helpful tips on how to get a better night’s sleep, and if you’re looking for mattress stores in Fort Collins, we hope you’ll shop our store.

Follow a Regular Sleep Schedule

Scheduling a time to go to sleep at the same time each night is the first step in falling asleep faster and getting a better night’s sleep. Although some days it’s more difficult than others to get to bed at your designated time, consistency is key. Your body has an internal clock that functions according to a cycle. Going to bed at different times each night throws this cycle off-balance, affecting your sleep, mood, and overall health.

Develop a Nighttime Routine

Creating a nighttime routine is a good way to signal to your body that it’s almost time for sleep. Some people choose to take a hot bath, while others just sit quietly while sipping a cup of tea. Whatever you decide for your nighttime ritual, it’s important to stay consistent and do the same things at the same time each night. This will help your body wind down so that when you do go to bed, you’ll fall asleep quickly.

Turn Off Electronics

Many people have a habit of watching television, checking emails, or getting on social media right before bed. And, although you may think of this as your nighttime routine, it’s really not doing you any good. The things we watch or read keep our minds active, instead of letting them relax for the evening. Plus, the blue that‘s emitted from electronic devices has been shown to delay the release of the sleep hormone melatonin in our bodies and disrupt our sleep cycle. If your goal is to fall asleep quickly and sleep soundly through the night, try turning off all electronics at least an hour before bed.

Keep Your Bedroom at a Comfortable Temperature

Having the bedroom at a temperature that’s too hot or too cold has long been the argument of many couples. Air temperature is a personal preference that can vary from person to person depending on how their own body works. Some people are just naturally cold, while others may struggle with “sleeping hot”. If you want to know once and for all what the ideal temperature is for sleeping, most sleep authorities will tell you cooler is better — somewhere in the range of 60 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit. If you’re getting chills just thinking about it, remember that what works for one person may not work for another. Try experimenting for a few nights to find the temperature that’s right for you.

Trade in Your Old Mattress

How comfortable is your mattress? Do you wake up feeling sore and stiff? Most people hold on to their mattresses well-beyond their recommended lifespans which means they’re likely sleeping on a mattress with little to no support. If you can’t remember the last time you bought a new mattress, it’s probably time for a new one. The sleep foundation recommends buying a new one every eight years.

Mattresses have come a long way in the last couple of decades. There are several different styles and materials available to suit individual preferences. If you think an old mattress may be part of your sleeping problem and you’re looking for mattress stores in Fort Collins, shop the store that has all of the brands and styles under one roof — America’s Mattress.
